We are deeply honoured to welcome Dr. Anthony Taabu-Munyaho, a distinguished Ugandan fisheries scientist and Blue Economy specialist, as a Keynote Speaker at the 4th FAR4ViBE Scientific Conference 2026.
With over 25 years of extensive experience across East Africa, Dr. Taabu-Munyaho is a leading expert in fisheries research, aquatic resource management, ecosystem-based governance, and regional marine and freshwater policy. His work has significantly shaped regional frameworks for sustainable fisheries exploitation, biodiversity conservation, and Blue Economy development across the African Great Lakes region.
Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Taabu-Munyaho has spearheaded numerous multi-national research initiatives, policy advisories, and collaborative programs that bridge scientific evidence with sustainable resource management. His contributions have been instrumental in addressing key challenges such as overfishing, climate change impacts on aquatic ecosystems, and transboundary waterbody governance.
